Our Story

Wigglebutt Coffee was founded in 2025 and is owned and operated by a small team with a passion for coffee and boxers. Long before roasting entered the picture, we were chasing the best coffee we could find—vacations and road trips always included stops at local roasteries and coffee shops. That same love for great coffee drives us today as we roast and ship the freshest coffee straight out the door to your cup.

 

David, the head roaster, began roasting on a microscopic scale in late 2022 using a Popper from Sweet Maria's. After a few months of experimenting, he found that good coffee can be roasted. In late 2024, he attended a week's worth of SCA training in Chicago. This week of education and relationship building sparked the desire to start Wigglebutt Coffee.

 

When we're not roasting or sipping coffee, we're with Oscar—our Chief Sniffer and fourth beloved boxer. If you've ever met a boxer, you know their signature wiggle—that joyful move inspired our name. 

 

We are still a micro-roastery, but have upgraded our equipment from that initial Popper that started it all. We are a roast-to-order company, and we strive to get your coffee out the door as quickly as possible. Our goal is to deliver the freshest coffee possible to you.
