Why Wigglebutt Coffee Doesn’t Sell K-Cups (And the Easy, Better Alternative)

If you’ve ever wished you could order Wigglebutt Coffee in K-Cup pods for your Keurig brewer, you’re not alone. Convenience matters—especially on busy mornings.

But we’ve deliberately chosen not to sell single-serve pods right now. Many pod formats are designed for one-time use and typically involve extra single-use materials (often plastics and foils). For a small roaster trying to do things the right way, that waste adds up quickly.

The good news: you can still brew Wigglebutt Coffee in a Keurig—without pods—and it’s simple.

The simple solution: our ground coffee + a reusable K-Cup filter

We offer ground coffee that works great in reusable K-Cup–style filters. When you order, choose the Drip (ground) option, then load it into a reusable filter that fits your Keurig machine.

Reusable filters are widely available at major retailers (including Keurig, Walmart, Target, and Amazon).

How to brew Wigglebutt Coffee in a Keurig (step-by-step)

  1. Pick your coffee. Choose any Wigglebutt Coffee you love and select Drip (ground) when ordering.

  2. Use a reusable K-Cup filter. Pop the reusable filter into your Keurig as you would a pod.

  3. Add coffee. Start with 2 tablespoons (about 10–12g), level it (don’t pack it down), and adjust to taste.

  4. Brew size tip: For a stronger cup, start with an 8-oz setting. If you prefer a larger mug, try 10–12 oz, or add a little more coffee.

  5. Clean-up (fast and easy)Knock grounds into the trash or compost, rinse the filter, and you’re done.

Why we like the reusable approach

  • Less waste: One reusable filter replaces many single-serve pods over time.

  • More flexibility: You can dial in strength and flavor by adjusting dose and brew size.

  • Better coffee experience: You get Wigglebutt’s fresh-roasted flavor—without being locked into pod formats.

Compatibility note (worth reading)

Reusable filters are not one-size-fits-all. Some are “universal,” while others fit specific Keurig models (and some brewers are not compatible with certain filters). Before buying, confirm that the reusable filter is compatible with your specific brewer model.

Quick FAQ

Will “Drip” grind work in a reusable K-Cup filter?

Yes—our Drip grind is a strong starting point for reusable K-Cup filters.

What if it tastes weak?

Use a smaller brew size (8 oz), add a bit more coffee, or try a slightly stronger coffee selection.

What if it tastes bitter?

Use a larger brew size, reduce coffee slightly, and avoid over-packing the grounds.

Bottom line

We’re focused on great coffee, roasted fresh, with less single-use waste where we can control it. If you brew with a Keurig, you can still enjoy Wigglebutt Coffee easily—just use our ground coffee and a reusable filter.

Great to hear an approach that does not create lots of waste. I understand the convenience but the tradeoff is not good. Reusable filters with freshly ground beans seems pretty ideal to me.
